Caroline Celico, esposa do jogador Kaká, deu uma entrevista para a coluna de Mônica Bergamo da Folha de São Paulo, falando sobre o que pensa sobre o dízimo e também sobre não estar seguindo a nenhuma religião.
Hoje ela e seu esposo assumem que não pertencem a nenhuma religião. ”Por enquanto não sinto falta dos rituais”, afirmou Carol que também confessa que não pode dizer que nunca mais irá freqüentar uma igreja.
Ela também questiona a teologia da prosperidade, algo muito difundido na Renascer. “Numa passagem da Bíblia está escrito que para se curar da lepra era preciso dar sete mergulhos no rio Jordão. Então [eu pensava]: se Deus precisava que eu desse sete mergulhos, hoje Ele precisa que eu dê uma oferta, que eu entregue meu dízimo. E até meu dízimo não estar entregue, não vou receber meu milagre. Hoje vejo que Deus conhece o meu coração. Se eu entreguei ou não alguma coisa para Deus, Ele sabe o meu sentimento”.
