Desde julho 2011 todas as bibliotecas do Rio de Janeiro deverão ter em seu acervo pelo menos um exemplar da Bíblia.

    O Diário Oficial do estado publicou a sanção governamental à lei 5.998/11, de autoria do deputado Edson Albertassi, do PMDB. Em caso de descumprimento, a multa será de mil Ufirs-RJ (unidades fiscais de referência do estado do Rio), o que equivale a 2.130 reais. Se houver reincidência, o valor dobra.
