Juiz autoriza médico a salvar vida de Testemunha de Jeová com transfusão de sangue - Judge allows doctor to save lives of Jehovah's Witness with blood transfusion

O juiz Rudson Marcos, de Concordia (SC), concedeu liminar a um médico do Hospital São Francisco autorizando a transfusão de sangue em uma mulher que tinha sido vítima de um acidente de carro. Por ser da religião Testemunhas de Jeová, ela estava se recusando a se submeter ao procedimento. O médico teve de recorrer à Justiça porque a paciente corria risco de morte.
A transfusão foi feita no dia 07de junho, e a paciente encontra-se em recuperação.
A mulher quebrou o fêmur em uma colisão na cidade vizinha de Piratuba envolvendo um carro e duas motos. O motorista fugiu e um motoqueiro morreu.
O juiz Marcos sustentou a sua decisão com o argumento de que a missão de um médico é salvar vida com todos os recursos da ciência, mesmo contra a vontade do paciente.
Pela interpretação que as TJs fazem da Bíblia, o sangue é sagrado e quem dele se servir deixará de entrar no reino do céu.
