A Frente Parlamentar Evangélica anunciou nesta segunda-feira que vai apoiar o projeto de lei 6418/2005, de autoria do Senador Paulo Paim (PT-RS) e confirmou que o PLC 122, de relatoria de Marta Suplicy, continuará sendo vetado pela Frente Evangélica em todas as comissões, mesmo depois do acordo feito entre a senadora e o senador evangélico Marcelo Crivella que mudou a proposta para fazê-la andar.
O PL 6418 está aguardando parecer na Comissão de Direitos Humanos e Minorias (CDHM) da Câmara sob relatoria da deputada federal Janete Rocha Pietá (PT-SP) mas já tem orientação do líder da Frente Parlamentar Evangélica, deputado João Campos, para que todos seus membros votem a favor dele (são 80 parlamentares). A diferença básica entre este e o PLC 122 é que o projeto de Paulo Paim não penaliza o discurso religioso no texto, ao contrário, ele o protege.
